EverGuard Roofing has now been in business for 25 Years in New Mexico!
In 2001, Dave Simmons was running the Albuquerque branch of a national roofing company. He had come to roofing sideways, he was trained as an engineer and had spent his career in lumber, running sawmills and building biomass power plants. He walked into a roofing job knowing almost nothing about roofing and learned it on contracts like the Intel fab and the Santa Fe Opera.
Then the parent company went bankrupt. One of its other branches had sold a large job in Mexico that never paid, and it took the whole company down.
His crew took him to breakfast. They told him that if he started a roofing company, they would come work for him.
So he did. Two guys walked north from Central looking for work. Two weeks later there was more of it than they could handle.
That was twenty-five years ago. EverGuard Roofing works across New Mexico now. With commercial re-roofs, new construction, residential, and a crew that has grown from those first two guys to a full roster of roofers, foremen, and estimators.
